How to measure
Bust/Chest
Measure around fullest part, keeping the tape level under your arms
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, where you usually wear your trousers
Hip
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
You should be able to like a shirt first and check the size second. Not the other way round.
Style Union’s plus size collection for men is available in all plus sizes. Below is how to find your fit, what to check before you order, and how to style it so it looks sharp and stays comfortable all day.
Measure the chest at its fullest point, the waist where you wear your trousers and the thigh at its widest. Compare them with the size chart on the product page rather than relying on the size you wear at other brands. Every brand follows its own sizing, so the label alone may not tell you how a garment will fit.
For tops, the shoulder seam should sit at the edge of your shoulder, and the front should close across the chest without pulling. For trousers, the thigh and hip area matter more than the waist, since a belt can adjust the waist but nothing adjusts a tight thigh.
Regular fit is the safest choice. Slim cuts tend to pull across the chest and stomach, and very loose cuts add volume and make hems hang lower than intended. A regular or lightly relaxed fit follows your build without clinging. For trousers, a straight leg or a slightly tapered leg (one that narrows a little towards the ankle) is easier to wear than a wide one.
Use soft tape and stand straight. Measure the chest under the arms at its fullest point, keeping the tape level. Measure the waist where your trousers sit and the thigh at its widest, near the top. For sleeve length, measure from the shoulder point to the wrist.

If the numbers fall in different sizes, go by the area that matters most for that garment: chest and shoulders for tops, thighs and seats for bottoms.
Take the larger size if the fabric has no stretch. Tops can be tucked and trousers can be belted, but a tight fit limits how you move. If the product page mentions stretch in the fabric, your usual size generally works. Trust the chart measurements over the size label.
Four checks cover most fit problems:
Good clothes should fit the way you want them to, from the first wear. Shop the full range of plus size clothing for men at Style Union, built for work days, weekends and everything between. Check the size chart, choose your fit, and see all plus sizes for men in one place.
Measure the chest at its fullest point, keeping the tape level under the arms. Then measure across the shoulders and from shoulder to wrist for sleeve length. Match the chest and shoulder numbers to the chart. If you fall between sizes, go larger. A slightly roomy shirt can be tucked in and stays comfortable through the day.
Regular fit is usually more comfortable and looks cleaner. Slim fit tends to pull at the buttons and stretch across the stomach. A relaxed fit also works if the shoulder seam sits properly, but very loose clothes add bulk. Choose the fit by how the garment sits at the shoulders and chest.
For clothes without stretch, yes. Shirts can be tucked and trousers can be belted, and the extra room keeps you comfortable. If the product page mentions stretch in the fabric, your usual size generally fits well. The chart measurements are a better guide than the size label, so check them first.
Formal shirts should be tucked in. Casual shirts can be worn untucked if the hem ends around the middle of the zip. A longer shirt looks untidy when left out, so tuck it in. A belt that matches your shoes keeps the look neat.
